We are all messengers for each other. We co-create in our often simultaneous roles of teacher and student. We experience life in the expression (outward manifestation) and reception (inner resonance) of aligned truths. When we connect with others on this level of being, the experience in that moment is truly powerful. Like a pebble hitting the water, the ripples along the surface carry their messages deep below. Our freedom lies in our ability to retain that which serves our purpose, the expansion of our true self: Love.
One day, while visiting San Francisco, a new friend asked me if I could give him an example of Synchronicity. Since we were having a delicious latte in a coffee shop at the time, I suggested that we formally ask the Universe to provide an example during our visit to the city's wonderful aquarium the next day. Obviously, I could have given many personal stories of synchronicity, but the most powerful teacher is experience.
The morning after, when we exited the indoor parking lot and stood on the sidewalk facing the street, I was overwhelmed by a strong desire to turn left, but my friend explained that the aquarium was on our right. I took note of the moment and told him to remind me that after our visit and upon our return to the parking lot, we needed to walk in the opposite direction. Although he looked at me quizzically, he agreed to the terms and we went on our way.
Two hours later I stood at the exact same spot and we began to walk left of the entrance to the parking lot. We passed a few buildings until I felt the pull to enter a non-descript red brick office building. I went to the directory of offices on the wall and asked the guard at the desk for permission to visit a company on the fifth floor. My friend and I silently rode the elevator and as the doors opened, I exited and knocked on the door immediately to the right. There was no answer and I told my now bemused friend that we should try the doorknob which easily turned and allowed us entry. It was about lunch time, the computers were on although no one appeared to greet us from the reception area or any of the adjoining offices. I entered an office on our left with a huge window facing the street and stopped. I deduced from his stunned look that we had reached our destination. I asked him what this place meant to him.
He quietly answered that we were standing in his old office where he had begun working as a counselor almost 20 years ago. Later, when I accessed my laptop and confirmed the nature of the work this new company did at his old employment location, I laughingly shared with him that they were a courier company for the legal system. It was a beautiful message of synchronicity or signs from a higher realm specifically addressed to my friend. Now that he has experienced how it works, he can stay open to the markers along his journey.
We ask questions, but often disregard the synchronistic events and feelings which point us to the Universe's answer.
